Motorcycles, the core of what Turple Bros is all about, motorcycles and motorcycle accessories. From the start with old Harley surplus motorcycles, to the many brands they went through, Motorcycles has always been at the center of passion for the shop. Today we can proudly claim that we are North Americas oldest Honda dealer (since 1959) with great pride. We have had Suzuki Motorcycles for sale since 1988, We had the Can-Am motorcycles back in their hay day, and looks like we will have them again! In 2004 we picked up KTM and all the orange they had to offer, then in late 2019 we were offered Gasgas Motorcycles and are happy to have them. We have a showroom full of motorcycles for sale, and the passionate staff to back it up.

Overview

450 cc Unicam Engine

Honda Unicam cylinder heads combine the best of single- and double-overhead-cam designs. The configuration contributes to a compact engine that saves weight over a comparable dual-overhead-camshaft motor and also permits a narrow included valve angle. This flattens the combustion chamber to facilitate ignition flame propagation, allowing a high compression ratio. Since less space is taken up in the cylinder head, the camshaft sits lower in the head for a more compact engine and a lower center of gravity.

High-Capacity Resin Fuel Tank

For longer cross-country loops, the CRF450RX features a fuel tank that holds a full 8 litres.

Hand Guards

When the going gets extra tough, you’ll appreciate the hand guards on to the CRF450RX.

Sealed Airbox and Filter

Along with the special air filter, the airbox shape helps deliver more torque. You can access the airbox through the left number plate. And because the CRF450RX’s filter has no rubber gasket where it interfaces with the intake boot, cleaning and servicing the filter is faster and less messy.

chassis & suspension

Strong Frame Minimizes Fatigue

The CRF450RX is focused on being fast while minimizing rider fatigue. They achieved this through optimizing frame rigidity working seamlesly with the suspension to prioritize traction, stability and bump absorption.

Single-pipe Exhaust

The CRF450RX uses a single-pipe header. It routes close to the center of the bike, and its light overall construction helps improve weight distribution. The single muffler uses a pressed-alloy design that lets us shape the muffler body for better rider ergonomics and lighter weight.

Showa Spring Fork

The 49 mm Showa fork features a conventional spring design that helps increase the CRF450RX’s front-suspension precision, handling and feel. The spring rate provides better bottoming resistance and improved handling.

450 cc Unicam Engine

The configuration contributes to a compact engine that saves weight over a comparable dual-overhead-camshaft motor and also permits a narrow included valve angle. This flattens the combustion chamber to facilitate ignition flame propagation, allowing a high compression ratio. Hydraulic Clutch

Big power requires a strong clutch, and this bike delivers with a smooth-operating hydraulic clutch. Ditching the cable improves consistency, control and feel at the lever. The clutch capacity is generous, along with an extra plate and spring to maximize power transfer and durability.

Electric Start

Kickstarting? Maybe if you’re riding in the vintage class, but not here. By ditching the kickstarter entirely, our engineers were able to make a light bike even lighter. Electric starters and lithium-ion batteries are so light now and so good that putting them on a bike like this is a win/win combination. And winning is what a CRF450R-series bike is all about.

Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC)

Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) works to minimize rear wheel spin (thus wasted forward drive) and maximize traction. It doesn’t use a wheel-speed sensor, and, importantly, maintains feel at the throttle while managing power — ignition timing and the PGM-FI system are adjusted when the rate of change of RPM goes over a set amount. With three settings plus off to choose from, you can have your bike dialed no matter how much traction there is.

HRC Launch Control

We’re talking about a special ECU program here: push the button to select the mode, hold the throttle open, release the clutch, and the bike will do the rest, launching you into the first turn with a big advantage.

Engine Mode Select Button

This simple handlebar-mounted button lets you dial in engine power delivery character with a push of your thumb. Choose between Standard, Smooth and Aggressive, depending on track conditions.
