Honda Motorcycles
Honda's first appearance in North America was in Vancouver in 1959, there were six original dealers that took on the new brand hopeful for something different than the norm, Rex and Glenn Turple were one of those original six, and the last standing of them too, making Turple Bros. Ltd. the oldest Honda dealer in North America. 10 years after the first Honda motorcycle came to north america, Honda Canada was formed. Throughout the years we have seen a lot of Honda Motorcycles come through our doors from the iconic CB750 (in our main logo) to the race winning CBR lineup, the new and old Africa Twin, the king of touring bikes, the Goldwing, and so many more. We always look forward to see what Honda Motorcycles brings us next. |
True Street-Legal Dirt BikeThe CRF450RL uses the CRF450R motocrosser as a starting point, then adds everything required to make it fully road-worthy. From the CRF450R base, the frame was made slightly wider to allow for the 6-speed transmission, the engine was tuned for smoother power delivery, and the suspension and brakes were modified to make the bike more user friendly on tight trails and on the road. |
Dynamic PerformanceWith a heavier crankshaft than used in the full-race CRF450R, you'll enjoy 13% more inertia from the Unicam engine, which means an even stronger feeling of torque when you twist the throttle. |
Extra DurabilityThe CRF450RL’s Unicam engine shares the same bore and stroke as the CRF450R, but durability is improved thanks to the piston using three rings instead of one. |
Wide-Ratio TransmissionThe CRF450RL rocks a wide-ratio six-speed gearbox. That gives you a low gear perfect for tight, slow situations, and a top gear that’s tall enough to ride the highway to the next trailhead. |
Twin-Spar ChassisThe twin-spar aluminum frame is both light and stiff, and provides the basis for the CRF450RL’s excellent handling, making it a true off-road bike. Chassis geometry is specially engineered for responsiveness on even tight trails. |
Showa Spring ForkThe 49 mm Showa fork features a conventional spring design that helps increase the CRF450RL’s front-suspension precision, handling and feel. The spring rate provides better bottoming resistance and improved handling. |
Fuel Mileage MeterAn important feature for planning gas stops and calculating your bike’s range under varying conditions, the CRF450RL’s fuel mileage meter shows current fuel mileage and average mileage as well as consumption. Displays in either kilometres or miles, and applies to both the A and B tripmeters. The meter is in the same digital instrument display as the speedometer, odometer, tripmeters and digital clock. |
Lightweight LED LightingThe CRF450RL features an all-LED lighting package — including the headlight — to help keep weight as low as possible. The lighting pattern is specially designed for both on- and off-road situations. |
Alloy SidestandA sidestand may seem like no big thing, but take a look at the one on the CRF450RL. Tucked up high and out of the way, this forged alloy piece is just another example of how the CRF450RL gets it right. |
Hand GuardsWhen the going gets extra tough, you’ll appreciate the hand guards on the CRF450RL. |
Eletric FanThe CRF450RL is a “ride anywhere” type of bike, and because conditions vary so widely, we’ve equipped it with a light electric fan for the radiator. It helps keep your engine running cool even in the tightest single track on the hottest days. |
